“10 Months of Giving Thanks” Toy Drive

Tekcetera is celebrating its 10-year anniversary by giving thanks to the Orange County community that has supported it for the last 10 years.  For the next 10 months, Tekcetera will give thanks as a team of one – with managers, staff and family members. The Tekcetera team can be found serving food at local shelters, hosting free computer training workshops, participating in beach clean-up efforts, sending care packages to military troops, making monetary donations, and much more.  The 10 Months of Giving Thanks initiative will culminate at a hosted reception during the month of November, appropriately around the Thanksgiving holiday.

To kick off the 10 Months of Giving Thanks initiative, the Tekcetera team hosted a toy drive to benefit children with cancer.  On Feb. 22, the Tekcetera personally delivered a wagon full of toys to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).  Thank you for all donations and support in helping make our first month’s effort a huge success!

Designers: Java Color Palette for National Coffee Day

Color is a very powerful tool!  Colors can evoke feelings, memories and even cravings for food!  Many restaurants use warm colors such as red and yellow, for example, because the colors are said to make you feel hungry.  What do you think of when you see a really rich brown?  Depending on the shade, I either think of coffee or chocolate!  Both thoughts evoke warm, comforting thoughts.  National Coffee Day inspired the color palette below:

Darkest to lightest:
#170000
#31120C
#4F342F
#6F3E2D
#C09685

As always, post your coffee inspired designs on our facebook page!  We would love to see your work!  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tekcetera-Inc/110723795634039

Happy National Coffee Day!

Designers: Fall Color Palette…Bejeweled!

Getting ready for fall?  Try jewel tones like these with charcoal grey as your neutral hue for a vivid, rich look.

Charcoal:  #252528
Blue:  #004A80
Violet:  #4B0D62
Pomegranate:  #C41039
Teal:  #007E98

The name says it all

Jewel tones are drawn from the very saturated hues of gemstones.  They are, therefore, very dynamic and eye-popping. Layering these tones together can make your design more luxurious.

Share your bejeweled designs on our facebook page!  We would love to see your work!
